One of my favorite days of the month.. Stitch Fix day :]

 

Budget wise I knew I could only keep one... maybe two things with this box, so in a way that helped with decision making ahead of time. I was a little surprised to see a maternity shirt in the mix since I had told them I no longer needed shirts or pants. I also figured it would be crazy expensive like the other maternity shirts they have sent. I was pleasantly surprised to find out this one was reasonably priced. It was a keeper.

 

I really liked this cardigan.. It just didn't wow me. Made it easy to send it back since I was on a tight budget.

I have been waiting for a winter scarf. So happy when I saw this at the top of the box!

Another sweater that I really liked, only this one was itchy. Not hard to see it go.



I have been asking for accessories and they came through for sure ha. Not my style.. but it was a nice change I hope to see in future boxes!

Stitch Fix day! My favorite day of the month :)

 

Last month I asked that they send cardigans/jackets and accessories since I really don't need more maternity clothes. Jackets I need bad though! I was a bit curious of what they would end up sending honestly. Of course they did not disappoint.

 

First up, an infinity scarf. Kept

This pea coat was AMAZING! I was really wanting one and not only was it in the price range I would spend, it was so soft. Only problem was it would fit for maybe a few more weeks. I thought it was maternity at first but realized later it was just a regular Large. A thought that was brought up was that I could continue wearing it after I have little man.. but my concern is that I am not normally a Large. Spending a good amount of money on something I would only get a small use out of seems silly to me. Oh how I loved it though. I ended up sending it back and may have wanted to shed a tear ha.

This cardigan made up for not getting to keep the pea coat :) Kept

This one isn't really a winter item, but I still kept it since it can be worn practically year round.

Last item.. at first when I saw this necklace my first thought was  "this is not me!". After wearing it for a little while I started to like it, its something different which is a reason I use Stitch Fix. The major draw back was that it was 4 pieces and they kept clanging together. It got annoying fast! It ended up going back with the pea coat.

All in all this was an awesome Fix! I asked for more accessories in my next box so I can't wait to see what I get :)

Who doesn't love Stitch Fix day!?

 

All my items this go round were maternity, which is awesome.. if it didn't all cost so much! I don't know why but all of the maternity items they send me are WAY over my budget. The way I decide on a box is to try everything on, separate them into Yes, No or Maybe piles. Then I look at how much each cost and decide what I want. I had 3 items in my Yes pile until I saw the prices.

 

This shirt was one of those I had in my Yes pile. LOVED it! Too bad it was double what I would pay for a shirt. Sad times. The leggings were a big no (in everyway). They were very uncomfortable in the fit and the material didn't feel that great either. Both items were sent packing.

Of course this jacket was in my price range yet it was not my style at all ha. Had the sleeves been the same color and material as the rest of the jacket I would have kept it since I am in need of maternity jackets. This was a no as well. I did ask for more jackets/sweaters in my next Fix so hopefully one will work out!

There was also a dress I kept (Frank's favorite to date) but you will have to wait until after my shower to see that one :)

Stitch fix goods

It was that time of month again, stitch fix time! A few weeks ago I went to change my settings so I would not receive pants for the next few months (I had hoped to use a belly band but found I did not like it) and saw they had a question if you were pregnant. I checked it and put my due date in. I honestly thought I was going to get something telling me they would not be able to style me until after that date.

My box shows up and to my surprise they now carry a few maternity items! Talk about a happy day... Until I tried everything on.

Option 1

This had to be the softest cotton I have ever felt! I loved it but I wouldn't get much wear out of it since fall weather will be approaching us within the next few weeks.

So it was a no go.

Option 2

I LOVED everything about this top except the neck. It felt like it was chocking me :(

I was so disappointed because it wasn't something I could "work with" just to keep it. 

So again, a no go

Option 3

Just not my style : /

Option 4 & 5

These were the two maternity items. The dress was a little big, but since I wouldn't even be able to wear it until November I had time to grow into it. I set it aside as a keeper! Until I saw the price. Holy over my budget! No way I could spent that much on something I wouldn't wear forever.

I have been wanting a pair of leggings so I was pretty excited about these. Only I felt more like I should be going for a run not dressing up. For anyone who has tight winter running pants, that is what these looked and felt like. Total bummer.

So both were a no go.

Which meant for the first time in 7 boxes I did not keep at least one thing. I was bummed to say the least. Here's to hoping my next fix has some keepers :)

On a side note, I was sweating like crazy trying on those winter clothes when it was in the 80s outside! 

Stitch fix #2

After waiting what felt like forever I finally got my second stitch fix box! Between my first and second one I uploaded my Pinterest account so my stylist could see what I liked. This one definitely was a winner!

I kept a necklace from my first box. I wore it practically our whole cruise :)

             First item was this scarf.

Immediately I knew it was a keeper, I was ever more excited to find out it was an infinity scarf. I don't have one yet.

Second and third up were the shorts and halter top.

 As soon as I saw the halter top my first thought was, my bad I should have put in my profile that I don't do halters. My mind was changed once I tried this baby on. Not only is it cute and comfy, but I actually feel supported as it doesn't kill my neck! For that I will pay more than normal. 

I loved the shorts but after walking around in them I realized they wouldn't work. I kept getting a camel toe :/ no go for me.

Simple white cardigan. I've needed a new one so this was perfect.

         Last was this stripped shirt.

At first I didn't think I would like it since it was horizontal stripes, but the fit was awesome. It wasn't too short and was nice and loose. The no go was the material. Holy itchy batman! My skin still itches and I haven't had it on in about 20 minutes. Had it been better material I would have definitely kept it.

So the keepers from box #2 were the scarf, halter and cardigan.
