Honeymoon Day 1: Barcalona Spain

It was FINALLY honeymoon time! We got into Barcelona a day early so we could rest and see a little before getting on the boat. I am so glad we decided on that because it made the start of vacation much more relaxed.
When we were trying to figure out the bus to our hotel Frank was paying at a machine and I had set our luggage down to return the cart it was on. As I started walking away from our stuff I had to remember we weren't in Japan anymore. Probably not a good idea to just leave all our possessions alone ha.
The drive to our hotel was full of greenery and space. Two things we have missed. It actually felt like we were in California. Once we got to our hotel and were checking in Frank realized I had a whole in my pants... on the crack! Talk about a good laugh. That's what I get for buying cheap yoga pants.

Once we got to our room the very first thing we did was shower! We smelled horrible and felt insanely dirty. I believe that was the longest time traveling either of us had ever done. If I remember correctly it was around 20 hours.

The view from our room, water on both the left and right hand side.

After we got all cleaned up we found a place to eat across from our hotel. For being the only meal we had in Spain it was amazing. I got a pesto spaghetti and Frank got a meat cannoli.

We didn't have anything planned so we just walked the streets. We loved it! It was relaxing and nice getting to experience the none tourist stuff.

We ended up walking towards this museum before turning back.

Once we got to the top (I took the escalator) we stood off to a corner and admired the view.

We were pretty tired and it was later than we thought (the sun sets late there!) so we headed back to our room and passed out early. We both slept hard that night. Not the best of picture but we did get a nice sunset from our room.

After half a day of just walking the streets we fell in love with Spain. The atmosphere is so relaxed and vibrant. We would love to explore more of the country one day... if not lucky enough to live there ;]

Stitch fix #2

After waiting what felt like forever I finally got my second stitch fix box! Between my first and second one I uploaded my Pinterest account so my stylist could see what I liked. This one definitely was a winner!
I kept a necklace from my first box. I wore it practically our whole cruise :)

             First item was this scarf.
Immediately I knew it was a keeper, I was ever more excited to find out it was an infinity scarf. I don't have one yet.

Second and third up were the shorts and halter top.
As soon as I saw the halter top my first thought was, my bad I should have put in my profile that I don't do halters. My mind was changed once I tried this baby on. Not only is it cute and comfy, but I actually feel supported as it doesn't kill my neck! For that I will pay more than normal.
I loved the shorts but after walking around in them I realized they wouldn't work. I kept getting a camel toe :/ no go for me.

Simple white cardigan. I've needed a new one so this was perfect.

         Last was this stripped shirt.
At first I didn't think I would like it since it was horizontal stripes, but the fit was awesome. It wasn't too short and was nice and loose. The no go was the material. Holy itchy batman! My skin still itches and I haven't had it on in about 20 minutes. Had it been better material I would have definitely kept it.

So the keepers from box #2 were the scarf, halter and cardigan.

Back to reality

Vacation is over, were both back to work and laundry has been caught up on. Oh how I could sail all over the world exploring....
This coming week I will start posting each day of the trip. Just waiting for Frank to transfer the pictures from the laptop to the desktop. If you follow me on Instagram I have started posting a few pictures from each port that I took on my phone.
For now I'll leave you with a few fun pictures ha.

Honeymoon here we come!

It's finally vacation time! Were currently waiting to board our flight.
A little catch up on my pain... It's still here and I am now on medication. I woke up Sunday feeling great. A little sore still, but I wasn't in as much pain and I could walk. I didn't do much at work, the most I lifted was a few 10 pound weights. Around 5:45 I was starting to get soar again so I sat down to rest. At 6:00 I had to cover the cashiers lunch break so I figured that would be perfect. Around 6:10 I was starting to hurt more so I got up to stretch. Oh man it was horrible! All the pain came rushing back and I could barely stand or walk. I had Frank come get me at 6:30 and spent the rest of the night in bed.
Monday morning I called medical in hopes I could get in as soon as possible. They had an opening in 10 minutes! Normally I would see a chiropractor to help the pain but I knew I would need more than 2 visits. That would just be a tease. So I had to go with my last resort. Medication :/
It was also my first time having to have a note to get out of work since there was no way I would have been able to work Monday and Tuesday. I pretty much slept both days away.
They help the pain but make me really tired. So we'll see how this goes. I'm also glad I didn't book the wine tour we had been planing since I can't drink while on these.
To top everything off Ellie got a UTI today. Poor girl. She can't catch a break.

I haven't decided yet if I will Instagram through out our vacation. But I will for sure be off of the blog and Facebook.

Why?!

4 days out from vacation and my lower back goes out plus sciatic issues :( why why why!?? I'm praying I wake up all refreshed and better... Too bad nothing with my back heals that quick.

Besides this new turn for the worse not much else has been going on. I've been really busy with work, FRG stuff and just every day happenings.

Ellie has been doing amazing on her medication. We need to lower the dosage but I'm just waiting for the vet to get some in. It has made us so happy to see her wanting to play again.. Running up the stairs.. And just looking healthier and younger. All that time praying for her paid off when we finally got a diagnosis :)

A few pictures.. Of course...

(My hair has been looking amazing lately

Five women + Frank

I held a game night for a few friends last week. The occasion was a celebration... I'll leave it at that ha. I had mentioned this to Frank in case he wanted to make plans to go somewhere, or at least hang out on the computer. He wanted to drink, eat and play things instead. I think he regretted that once we all started talking ; ]

Oh Molly...

Molly and Stephanie both have some awesome facial expressions going on!

Emmie claimed Molly for the night ha

I'm sure you all loved seeing pictures of Molly eating a green bean.. ha
She makes the best faces, how can I not share them all!

Ellie made an appearance. Copying Stephanie and Sarah :]
 "I totally agree!" haha

And that's how Frank felt... haha

I was there! :]

Goodbye winter!

Spring is almost here! Plum blossoms are blooming and cherry blossoms will be in full swing soon. Love Sakura time :)
The weather has also started picking up. Perfect for walking the dogs... If only. Last week I hurt my back pretty bad (still no idea how!) and spent two days in bed on a heating pad. Finally got the info for an acupuncture clinic out in town. It's been a life saver! I went three days in a row for two hours at a time getting acupuncture, acupressure, water massage and a little chiropractic care. For the time being I've been told not to lift anything heavy so I have been stuck on the register at work :/ I also haven't been able to walk the girls since it's too much to take still. Resting resting resting so I'll be back to normal fast!
Funny thing, I had decided I wanted to get back into working on getting my group fitness certification (I have a long way to go, I am super out of shape). And then the following day I hurt my back! A bit of an annoyance, but now it only makes me more determind.
That's about the most fun I have going on...
Our cruise is so close. eeck!!
We bought a storage shed a few weeks ago for our yard. We weren't out of space we just wanted to separate things. Like all the yard stuff is in the shed, this way we don't have to carry it up and down the stairs.
We bought it after the snow storms and our yard was still covered so it sat. Then the rain came and it only delayed the shed raising more. Last week the yard was finally dry so Frank was able to build! And just in time, it was a down pour right after he finished!
It's pretty obvious that our yard is not level ha. Now I can't wait to get patio furniture so I don't have to use my beach chair when I hang out in the yard with the girls!

Speaking of the girls... We finally have an answer to Ellie's constant weight gain and crazy anxiety. She has hypothyroidism. I asked the doctor to check her thyroid after she gain 3-4 pounds in 2-3 months with no change in her diet or excercise. Once we got word that she in fact did have a problem with it I looked up symptoms in dogs. Go figure she had almost every one! This week we go back to the vet to get her on meds so she can get back to normal. Hallelujah!

A few pictures from the last few weeks...

Thank you...

At the beginning of the year I chose 'I was here' by Beyoncé as my "theme" for the year. It was intended to remind me that I am here for a purpose bigger than myself and to make a difference in somebodies life. What I didn't expect or ever want it to be was a tribute to a life that only got to grace us for 25 short years.

Thank you to everyone who has been keeping Frank, his friends and of course Derilo's family in your thoughts and prayers. Dealing with a loss is hard enough, but dealing with it while most the command is gone has been even worse.

A hug can be all someone needs sometimes....

I wanna leave my footprints on the sands of time
Know there was something that, and something that I left behind
When I leave this world, I'll leave no regrets,
Leave something to remember, so they won't forget
I was here
I lived, I loved
I was here
I did, I've done, everything that I wanted
And it was more than I thought it would be
I will leave my mark so everyone will know
I was here
I want to say I lived each day, until I die
And know that I meant something in, somebodies life
The hearts I have touched, will be the proof that I leave
That I made a difference, and this world will see
I was here
I lived, I loved
I was here
I did, I've done, everything that I wanted
And it was more than I thought it would be
I will leave my mark so everyone will know
I was here
I lived, I loved
I was here
I did, I've done, everything that I wanted
And it was more than I thought it would be
I will leave my mark so everyone will know
I was here
I just want them to know
That I gave my all, did my best
Brought someone to happiness
Left this world a little better just because
I was here
I was here
I lived, I loved
I was here
I did, I've done, everything that I wanted
And it was more than I thought it would be
I will leave my mark so everyone will know
I was here.
(I lived), I lived
(I loved), I was here
(I did), I did
(I've done), I was here
(I lived), I lived
(I loved), I loved
I was here
(I did), I did
(I've done)
I was here

Rest in Peace Derilo
You will never be forgotten
