Introducing Ms. Makaiya Elizabeth!

Our first niece was born May 27 in a very dramatic way! She was unexpectedly born at home in the bathtub by paramedics, her nurse grandmother and frantic father. All were healthy and now Makaiya and auntie Emily have something in common. Both were born at home :]

Installation 2013

Last night Frank and I got to get up all dolled up and enjoy a great night with friends. AESA (the enlisted spouses association) had there installation party. It is a night to say thank you and goodbye to the old board and hello to the new one. Even better everyone (members only) gets a prize for the night! I was hoping for the grand prize which was the iPad mini.. but sadly did not win. Oh well guess that means it is still on my Christmas list!

I took quite a few pictures so be prepared for a photo dump! I will share the professional pictures once they are available.

I am currently doing the 24 day challenge... (it's Sunday, why are people flying today!? They should be at home! Sorry just a thought since a jet just took off.) and yesterday was day 6 of 24. I had no intentions of cheating so Frank had a great time enjoying the tab he had going at the bar! ha.

After almost 6 months of living here I finally got around to buying curtains! I was only able to get some for the spare room and living room today. I found a few for our room that I loved but they were either special order or not in stock :/

The ones I got for the spare room won't match the bedding I am purchasing.. But I really liked the inside curtain so I didn't mind :)

For the living room I had to get a whole rod set up since the curtains are a set. Sheer back ones and then the main black out curtains. Well the dry wall on this particular wall is not the best. It won't hold up the rod and curtains on the left side. Frank gave up working on it for the night since it was late and he didn't want to be pounding in the wall. 

So now our living room is open for everyone to see! 

Not a fan of that. However, we had to take down the blinds to put everything up and there is no way we are putting them back up one by one tonight. I am hoping tomorrow Frank is able to figure it all out. I love the new curtains, I would love to be able to use them!
