75 pounds down...

For those of you who know my mom, then you probably know that she has been on weight watchers for the second time for around a year in a half now [I believe that's how long she has been doing it]. Either way since starting W.W. she has lost 75 pounds with changing her eating habits and doing yoga 2 days a week. With my dad not wanting to change his eating habits I know it hasn't been the easiest journey, but I do know she is much happier with the new "Becky". I think it will be a little weird when we're the same size for the first time! ha For anyone wanting to start a healthy life, don't say you're going to start Monday. Start TODAY! If this is something you really want, then you will do your best and have a healthier happy life =]

That's awesome! Your mom looks great! It's great that she's able to change her life for the better, that's a sign she's truly ready for change within herself, again tell her congratulations, and to keep on going strong, cause it's definitely paying off!

Thanks for the positive comments, and the b-day wishes. Emily & Frank's wedding pictures, where I was included, were a huge shock to me, even though I'd already been attending yoga classes for some time. That's when I knew I had to do something. Even though I've been on a spiritual journey for 25 years, I had to work harder on the inside stuff first, and that was 2 years ago (It took 4 more months before I rejoined WW)... I changed the way I was thinking. I truly believe in the philosophy "you are what you think". I listen to meditation CD's every night as I go to sleep. I have several favorites, one of which is about releasing negative thought and fears of all kinds and another is geared around "The Secret", so if anyone is interested, let me know and I will tell you how to get a copy. Without them this journey would have been much more difficult, because as Emily stated, her dad, like most of the Lozeau clan, enjoys cooking and the majority of it is not geared for someone on a healthy food plan. Although, he does like the new me! And, if I can do it, so can any one of you who are thinking of starting a new phase of your life. Thanks again! Becky Lozeau.... i had to post this for my mom since it wouldn't work for her.

I totally agree with the fact that you are what you think! I remember before starting out I thought there was no way out of obesity, and I would just be suffering like that forever. Then it just took that one little push to the gym, and magically my thinking changed, and I became a completely different person. I thought like a healthy person should about food. Don't get me wrong, I still have cravings for some of the bad stuff, but who doesn't? The difference this time is that I know it's best to say no in those situations cause 9 times out of 10 your body doesn't even need anything when you're craving, you're just...craving! Congrats again. :)
