A few months in pictures

Woohoo blogging from a computer for the first time in months! I went through all the pictures I had taken on my camera since I got it and chose a few of my favorites.

Monterrey. This little baby kept staring at us :]

I made Frank put up the tripod so we could get some pictures together. He wasn't so thrilled on the idea.. I was though!

Yup, had to get a family picture. Didn't go so well ha.

If you have ever been to Lemoore then you know there is not much to do. Add in no money and your only entertainment comes from your dogs. We would get the dogs to jump from bed to bed for treats. This could easily occupy us for an hour ha.

Ms.Rio loved hamming it up for the camera.

The weekend before we left the states we spent with Frank's uncle and his family. We went up to the mountains one day. Everyone went sledding and I took some pictures.

Our first outing in Japan! They handed us a menu while we were in line at Starbucks.

Yokohama :]

Never made it out to the Ferris wheel. Soon hopefully!

Nissan world headquarters show room.

"PLEASEEEEE babe!!" haha

On the bus back from the train station after our cold and wet trip to Shibuya, Tokyo

Santa and his reindeer on Christmas Eve :]

Today...

...I want to be lazy... But get a lot accomplished. I'm torn ha. We got one very important thing out of the way, INTERNET! I'm still using my phone though since Frank has taken over the computer with his game. Not surprised at all ha.

I want to get back to the gym tonight but I also want to check out the women's bible study. But all I can think about right now is taking a nap. Oy these winter days are rough, it's not even 3:00 yet it feels like it should be 6:00 :/

So far the kitchen is unpacked and organized (for the most part). Our room is almost there... The bathroom and linen closest are complete and the second room is still half way. Since we don't have much furniture at the moment our living room is looking sad ha.

Here are a few picture from today. MT Fuji was out and looking purdy. Our first niece!
Molly being Molly haha.

Merry Christmas Eve

After 4 months I can happily say I am blogging from my own home while sitting on my own couch! The dogs are finally back to normal with their eating. The whole time in the kennel we had to hand feed them way too often. They both lost about a pound, but I am not worried... They'll gain it back in no time ha.

As you can see from the pictures we were way too excited about moving in today. 4 months of living out of suitcases can do that to you ha.

Our plans for Christmas are church in the morning then jump back into our PJs the rest of the day and finish organizing ad cleaning. I wish I could go on a shopping spree and buy all the things we need... Oh how nice that would be ; )

I don't have pictures on my phone, but Santa and some helpers drove around base handing out candy to kids. Frank and I being big kids ourself took the dogs out for pictures. They were scared but we had fun! I'm sure our neighbors thought we were crazy since it was our first time meeting them haha.

Shibuya

Well our day trip up to Tokyo was short, cold and wet! If I didn't need to go up there to get my phone fixed then we would have just stayed in bed all day. It was a cold nasty rainy day. Since it was raining we decided to figure out the whole bus thing from base to the train station. What better time to figure it out than when it's raining and you're miserable : )

I was pretty happy that the apple store was not far from the train station so we just booked it. I ended up having a defected phone that just plain old crashes after a week of having it. Thankfully I didn't have too much stuff on it yet since we haven't had the chance to back our phones up since we still don't have our HHGs. I did lose a few important dates so I will be making some calls on the 26th to get reminders.

After we got the phone situation out of the way we were all hungry. Both Frank and Scott (a friend) hadn't eaten yet so they were zoned in on food! The one thing we all agreed on was that it couldn't be American. We ended up at this mall across the street where the top two floors were all restaurants. The guys chose the Korean diner because the pictures looked good ha.

It was good, not horrible prices.. Chopsticks and I still don't get along but I refuse to ask for a fork. I'll get it one day!

Since I lost the pictures that were on my last phone I will take new pictures of our apartment tomorrow and post them.

Something random.. We went to purchase our new bed tonight but it was on back order. We weren't really upset, it's just exciting to know we'll have our first new bed soon!

Oh something Frank and I find really funny. In Washington you can tell who is a tourist because they have an umbrella. In Japan you can tell who is a tourist because they do not have an umbrella! Ha needless to say we bought a VERY large one today.

Sorry for the poor quality of picture of Frank and I, I had to cut and crop it from Facebook.

Change of plans

Well I had planned to post pictures from our apartment... Not so much. My brand new phone decided it didn't want to turn on anymore :/ For those who don't know what that means... A trip up to the apple store in Tokyo.

I'm glad Frank and I had already planned a day out for tomorrow. We were just thinking a temple or shrine not Tokyo ha. Lets hope for a working iPhone 5 tomorrow!

Since I can't post pictures of our place, here is a picture of our keys : )

Field trip!

We went to vina walk in Ebina this afternoon as part of our field trip for our ICR class (inter cultural relations). We has wanted to go to kamakura but had to take the dogs to the vet which took half the morning.

We had fun looking at stuff... Well I had fun, Frank wasn't into the clothes shopping too much ha. Here are a few pictures from our day. In the picture of the two of us I was trying to show off the mountains in the background but they didn't show up : (
