For those of you who know my mom, then you probably know that she has been on weight watchers for the second time for around a year in a half now [I believe that's how long she has been doing it]. Either way since starting W.W. she has lost 75 pounds with changing her eating habits and doing yoga 2 days a week. With my dad not wanting to change his eating habits I know it hasn't been the easiest journey, but I do know she is much happier with the new "Becky". I think it will be a little weird when we're the same size for the first time! ha For anyone wanting to start a healthy life, don't say you're going to start Monday. Start TODAY! If this is something you really want, then you will do your best and have a healthier happy life =]

Frank's 24th birthday
For Frank's birthday we went out to Dog Beach then to Sunset Cliffs to watch the sunset. Frank had just had to cliff jump.. and he ended up going 3 or 4 times. Tony joined him and jumped once. The sunset was beautiful! Which I new it would be, we were happy it didn't set as fast as it does in Virginia. So we had a little bit of time to be amazed.

NICK
I've decided that Monday's will be "Nick" days. For those of you who don't know Nick is a friend of mine from back home. 19 weeks ago he decided that NOW was when he was going to live his life the healthy way. He made his way to the gym for the very first time at 359.8 pounds [he said its okay to put it up, i'm hoping his story will helps other =)] and as of Monday he is 102 pounds lighter!!!!! If you watch the Biggest loser then you know who Jillian and Bob are, I call myself his Jillian through the internet ha I'm so happy for him and all he has acomplished in 19 weeks. He says he has about another 87 pounds to go till he gets to his goal weight, then it will be time to maintain for life. While Frank and I were home in July I went shopping with Nick and helped him pick out goal clothes. He just gave me an update earlier saying that he fits into the 38's [I believe that's the size] but they are still a bit tight. If anyone cares to follow Nick with his journey to a healthier life, or would like to pass his story along this is a link to his blog http://ndizzle2dafizzle.blogspot.com/
I thought I had a Before picture but I didn't so I used his "Before/After" picture for when he had lost 73 pounds for the BBQ while I was home. So the picture on the left his is actual Before.
And this is "After" losing 102 pounds!
ahh what a day..
Since it's finally been hot here in San Diego I've been wanting to get out of the house with the dogs everyday while Frank is at work. So today I took the girls to the dog park at Balboa for the first time. We had tried to find it once but never did and haven't gone back since. Once I found it today I felt stupid cause the last time we were there we kept driving past the dog park and never noticed it! We got there at 11:30 and it was pretty slow so Molly and Ellie for some reason were wanting to stay close to me [they never want to be near us at the park] once more dogs started showing up they were playing a little more. That dog park is huge! I love it ha they have so much room to run and get there energy out. We ended up being there for 2 1/2 hours, and once we left there we went out to the dog beach at Coronado for an hour in a half. Then we jotted over to base [it was such a long drive ha the gate by the dog beach was open so I was happy] to pick up Frank. Then back to the beach for another 40 minutes we went! I made sure to pack all our water bottles, a towel, clothes and swim trunks for Frank but I managed to forget the sunscreen. So now I'm a tad bit burnt. Oh well we had an amazing day!! Today would have been a great day to be taking pictures, but of course I forgot it at home arr!

Summer!
It finally feels like a little bit of summer is in San Diego finally! Today after Frank got off work we took the dogs out to dog beach to enjoy the nice weather. I forgot the camera and of course today was the day I should have had it! Ellie was going crazy running and swimming in the water the whole time, for once Molly didn't care to be in the water much. We all had fun then came home and had a yummy breakfast-dinner of french toast, egg whites, and hashbrowns =]

Sunset Cliffs
Today Tony, Ashley, me, Frank and all the dogs went out to La Jolla and walked the Sunset Cliffs. It was AMAZING! We all had an awesome time and can't wait to do it again. I want to go out there at sunset sometime, it's not called Sunset Cliffs for nothing ha I thought this was going to be more of a hike, but it was really more of a walk. It seriously didn't feel like we had walked very far though. I am so ready to go on a real hike now!!
All the dogs were excited to go for the walk! Molly ducked down just as I took the picture

Lasagna
Tonight I made my first homemade Lasagna!!... meat-free of course! I used the easiest recipe I could find so it wasn't too hard ha. It turned out okay, a little dry once it started to cool down but for the most part it was okay. The dish I used was too big and I didn't have enough noodles, but I'm still proud of myself =] Once I get some more baking dishes (I need variety!) I want to try this again.

I love this stuff
I found this J.R Watkins cleaner next to the Method products at Target the other day, and I love it! I've been talking about making my own cleaners for about a year now, but... well i'm lazy about it. I've been a big Method fan for quite awhile, but this line offers so much more. It's insane! ha

Fruit Skewers
I saw this on the Today Show this morning, I can't wait to try them. They look so good!!! =]
INGREDIENTS
• 3 firm but ripe nectarines, halved and pitted
• 3 firm but ripe plums, halved and pitted
• 3 firm but ripe apricots, halved and pitted
• 3 tablespoons sugar
• 6 metal skewers or wooden skewers soaked in water 30 minutes
• Nonstick spray
• Vanilla ice cream
DIRECTIONS
Spray the grill rack with nonstick spray and prepare a charcoal or gas grill for medium-high heat or preheat a ridged grill pan over medium-high heat. Thread one piece of each fruit on each of six skewers so that the cut sides line up and lay flat. Sprinkle the sugar over the cut sides of the fruit.
Let them stand until the sugar dissolves, about 10 minutes. Place the fruit skewers on the grill cut side down. Grill the fruit until it is heated through and caramelized, about 5 minutes. Place one fruit skewer on each plate and serve with a scoop of ice cream if you like.

DOGS!!
About a week ago Frank and I took Molly and Ellie to Fiesta Island at Mission Bay with Ashley and Charlie. Besides it being a little cold, we had a good time.
Molly and Ellie got in trouble and we made them sit by us, so they decided to sunbath
Ashley and Charlie
Last night Ashley, Moose and Charlie joined us at the dog park. It was crazy busy there with tons of poochs! i've never seen that many dogs there at once before.
When we were leaving we put the dogs on the hood of the truck. They weren't sure what to think of it
Watching Molly and this beagle playing was awesome, they were doing the exact same thing! I guess Molly has alot more beagle traits than I thought!

Good news??
Well I was hoping to post something good tonight.. maybe some pictures of our new BBQ and pictures from the dog park last night. But when I went to get my camera I realized that it was gone! I didn't notice last night because I never use my camera, I use Frank's so I didn't think to look for it. I had taken it out of my purse when we got home from the park and it was sitting by our phones. Fun fun times!!
We were able to get Frank a new military ID today, it wasn't easy and took help from a chief at his school but he got it done. Now he just needs a new drivers license... and of course phones!

Maintenance...
Just came and fixed the latch to our fence door, they even installed a lock for us. This was the first thing we had to have fixed and were very pleased with how fast they came out. The guy said he'd been working here 6 years and this was the first time something like this happened. Apparently the only thing that has happened is car windows being broken but nothing stolen from the car... weird ha in the month a half we've been here the stereo in Frank's truck was stolen (we didn't care to much about that so we didn't do anything) and now this. Somebody shady must have moved in around the same time as us... I have a feeling I know who it is, but of course I have no proof.
I would like to say on a happier note Nick is so close to the 100 pound mark!! I'm so happy for him and all he has overcome to get to this point. Keep it up Nick!!

Update #2...
I forgot to mention in the last post that we have a patio behind our apartment. So our backdoor isn't just open to everyone. The fence of the patio is about 2 inches higher than me. The latch to the patio door doesn't close all the way, we thought we were in a good enough area that having the latch not close all the way would be fine. We were WRONG!
Update...
Cops left not too long ago. we're pretty much S.O.L since phones and wallets are hard to get back. We already canceled Frank's credit card and check card, we will let Tmobile know tomorrow that our phones were stolen. We are very thankfull for Ellie cause who knows what they would have taken if she didn't start barking. And of course it's our fault because we had the backdoor open with the screen door closed, but nothing was locked. We never keep it open past 9 but of course tonight was the one night... we also found out that the street right behind out apartment is a really bad area. Our apartment is a good place the cop said he has never heard of anything happening at our complex. We think one of our neighbors did it because where our apartment is, is not a location that random people just walk past. The only people to come to this area of the complex are the people who live in these few apartments next to us. Now it's time for bed... I just hope I can sleep!
Robbed!!
Tonight while Frank was giving Molly a bath and I had went into the bedroom to make the bed, someone came into our living room and stole Frank's wallet and both our phones. At the time Ellie was running around the house and out of nowhere started going crazy barking running towards me in the bedroom (yes this was NOT normal for her) with all her hair standing on end. I yelled at her "what are you barking at" and came out to the living room. At the time I heard a noise but didn't think it was anything. A short time later I was looking for my phone to plug in to charge and thought Frank had hidden it from me. He told me to call his phone to find mine. He said his phone was in is cover but I checked and it was gone. As was his wallet. If it weren't for Ellie i'm guessing they would have stolen my wallet as well. We're just thankfull they didn't take our car keys! Knowing that you were robbed WHILE in the house and AWAKE is not a good feeling... I already have fears, so this is not helping =[ Anyone that has our phone numbers feel free to text the low lifes that stole from us nasty messages.. i'm hoping they have the nerve to look at them! So for further notice you will only be able to get ahold of us through email, or our blog.
